Child Safety Standards
Jom has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, and any sexualisation of minors.
Adults only
- Jom is for people aged 18 and over. Everyone must confirm they are 18 or older to use Jom (see our Terms).
- Events on Jom are for adults. Hosts may not create events aimed at or involving minors.
- If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.
What is banned
- Sharing, requesting or linking to CSAM in any form, including in profile photos, event covers, event descriptions, notes or group chat links.
- Contacting, grooming or arranging to meet a minor.
- Any content or event that sexualises, exploits or endangers children.
How to report
- In the app: open the member's profile or the event, tap Report or block, and choose a reason. Reports go to the Jom team.
- By email: teamforest66@gmail.com with the subject “Child safety report”. Include the member's name or the event link if you can.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 999 first.
How we respond
- We review child safety reports as our top priority.
- We remove the content and ban the accounts involved. Banned members cannot rejoin.
- We preserve the relevant information and report confirmed CSAM to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and other authorities as required by law, including Malaysia's Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests about child safety.
